UK Global Mobility Guidance

For foreign companies looking to establish a presence in the UK or move employees for particular commercial objectives, the Global Business Mobility visa is a new category of sponsored routes that has been created. There are FIVE routes for international business mobility:

SUFFICIENT UK ANCESTRY

The Senior or Specialist Worker route is for foreign nationals who are allocated to temporary jobs in the UK and who are senior managers or specialists working for a UK company that is affiliated with their employer abroad.

TRAINING GRADUATE

When an international worker is on a graduate training programme that would prepare them for a senior management or specialised post while working on a temporary assignment in the UK, they can apply through the Graduate Trainee route.

ROUTE OF UK EXPANSION WORKERS

For foreign employees going on temporary work assignments in the UK, there is a path called UK Expansion Worker. The person, a senior management or specialist, has been sent to the UK to carry out tasks associated with a company’s growth into the country.

ROUTE OF SERVICE SUPPLIER

The service supplier route is for foreign nationals working on short-term contracts in the UK, whether they are independent contractors located abroad or contractual service suppliers hired by foreign service providers. To supply services covered by one of the UK’s foreign trade agreements, they must carry out a project in the UK.

WORKER ROUTE FOR SECONDMENT

For foreign employees engaging on temporary work assignments in the UK, there is the Secondment Worker option. As part of a significant contract or investment by their business abroad, the worker is being posted to the UK.

RESPONSIBLE PARTNERS AND KIDS

Secondment Worker Visa

WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
If your employer in your home country is moving you to the UK to work an eligible job for a different company, you should apply for this visa. There must be a significant contract between the UK organisation and your foreign employer.
