UK Global Mobility Guidance
For foreign companies looking to establish a presence in the UK or move employees for particular commercial objectives, the Global Business Mobility visa is a new category of sponsored routes that has been created. There are FIVE routes for international business mobility:
SUFFICIENT UK ANCESTRY
The Senior or Specialist Worker route is for foreign nationals who are allocated to temporary jobs in the UK and who are senior managers or specialists working for a UK company that is affiliated with their employer abroad.

Senior Or Specialist Worker
WHAT IS IT:
You can go to or stay in the UK on a Senior or Specialist Worker visa if you need to perform a specific job at your employer’s UK branch. To qualify you must:
- Be appropriate for the journey
- Be a current employee of an organisation that has received Home Office sponsorship approval.
- Perform an activity that is listed among the qualified professions
- Possess a “certificate of sponsorship” from your company detailing the work you will perform in the UK.
- Get paid at least £42,400 annually
HOW DO YOU APPLY?
Those who qualify as Senior Workers must:
- Apply with an online valid application
- Give your biometrics (fingerprints and a picture)
- Pay the fee
- Provide any supporting documentation
WHAT IS IT?
Those who qualify as Graduate Trainee must:
- Be a current employee of an organisation that has received Home Office sponsorship approval.
- Prior to applying, you must have spent at least three months working for your sponsor outside of the UK.
- A “certificate of sponsorship” from your company that details the work you will perform in the UK is required.
- Perform an activity that is listed among the qualified professions
- Get at least £23,100 annually
From within the UK, you cannot switch (apply for) a Graduate Trainee visa.
YOUR TASKS
If a Graduate Trainee Visa is issued to you, you can:
- Stay in the UK for a maximum of a year.
- Bring along eligible partners and kids
- Study
- Work for your Sponsor in the previously mentioned capacity
- Volunteer
- Travel abroad and to the UK
You cannot apply for settlement through this method, but if you are eligible, you may move to another path that might result in settlement.
- STANDARD VISITOR VISA
Service Supplier Route
If you have a contract to perform services for a UK business, you may apply for a service supplier visa as:
- A worker for a foreign corporation
- an independent professional working from abroad
- Possess a “certificate of sponsorship” from your UK sponsor detailing the tasks you will be performing there
- An independent professional working from abroad
- If you are a self-employed service provider, have at least 12 months of professional experience and have worked for your company for at least 12 months outside of the UK.
- Be performing services for a UK-based company under a contract that is supported by an active trade agreement
- Either work for an international company as an employee or run your own business there.
- LONG RESIDENCE

SKILLED MIGRANT VISA
If a Senior Specialist Worker Visa is issued to you, you can:
- Stay for up to two years in the UK.

UK Expansion Visa
WHAT IS IT?
You can establish a branch of an international company that hasn’t yet begun doing business in the UK by travelling to the UK on a UK Expansion Worker visa. You must now hold a senior management position or a specialist position with the foreign company.
Those who qualify as A UK Expansion worker visa must:
- Possess a current sponsorship certificate from your company
- Be appropriate for the journey
- Away from the UK, you’ve worked for your employer
- Perform an activity that is listed among the qualified professions
- Get the bare minimal compensation that is appropriate for the position

- LONG RESIDENCE
Secondment Worker Visa
If your employer in your home country is moving you to the UK to work an eligible job for a different company, you should apply for this visa. There must be a significant contract between the UK organisation and your foreign employer.
- You work for a foreign company that has a lucrative contract with your UK sponsor that has been authorised by the Home Office.
- Have spent at least 12 months working for your foreign employer outside the UK. possess a “certificate of sponsorship” from your sponsor describing the job you will do in the UK.
- Work in one of the approved professions listed for employment in the UK
- Stay for up to two years in the UK.
- Bring along eligible partners and kids
- Studying, volunteering, and travelling internationally and to the UK
- Work for your Sponsor in the previously mentioned role
